What if the pattern is on the for-profit website of the pattern author? Allowable, or not?

How I sew hair onto cloth dolls:

Originally posted in response to LaLa's Waldorf doll instructions...

I've sewn yarn hair onto premade cotton dolls by laying each length across the top of the head (Front to back) and stitching it down. I just keep going back and forth, sewing as I add lay each strand down. I keep it shorter in front if doing bangs and try to make sure it's long enough in back. I learned to make the hair thicker by laying down a row or two across the back of the head, which are then covered by the top-of-head hair.

Do any of you by any chance know how to make a birth and breastfeeding doll? LLL used to sell a Waldorf style one, but she's been discontinued. It may be heresy, but I don't like the Mariana doll's face, one of those personal taste issues I guess, but I would like for DD to have a doll that really gives birth (since Barbie is an automatic c-section) and can nurse the baby or toddler. Thank-you

mehndi,
That looks fabulous!
I will work with the admin on getting your images transferred over and we'll upload it within the next few days.
Thank you for sharing that with everyone!

That's just wonderful!

Meiri,
I don't know off hand, but I do recall that the Attachments catalog had some unique dolls. Maybe check there?
Let us know what you find in your search!

I've looked at Attachments, and ordered some other stuff , but theirs are BF only, not the whole pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding process.

I could make one of DD's cloth dolls breastfeeding with bits of velcro, and have had another cloth doll carrying a baby in a sling, but their bodies are too short for the rest.
