I'm amused with what my baby eats..lol

He is 10.5 months old

He HATES baby food. I've tried probably every single flavor available. He refuses...Not that I blame him..lol

But he loooooves regular food. He goes crazy over omlettes and shredded potatoes.

Eating stuffed shells right now. He's polished off 1.5 of them himself.

I'm loving it that he likes food with flavor.

That's cute, My DD2 was like that she didn't do any babyfood ( usually make my own if it is something they can't just gum) but she refused to be fed. So she started solids at almost 12m by feeding herself.

DD is very similar. I just try to make sure she doesn't get much salt. My husband says she likes Pot Tarts

My daughter is just about seven months, so we're just beginning the adventure with solids, and like her older brother,we're just feeding her whatever we're eating. She doesn't want the spoon, she wants food. And apparently she loves pickles. I thought she'd take one bite and not want more, but man, she just went to town, sucking all the juice out of the thing. Crazy!

I wish my ds was like that! We started BLW at 6months but he didn't want ANYthing, then at around 11mo we gave him some puree of something and he went NUTS. At about 14 months now he still only wants purees or really really soft things on spoons sometimes he'll eat a cracker or chew on some crust but he won't actually ingest much

That's how my DS is, too. I find that the more flavor the food has, the more likely he is to devour it. His favorites have been Mexican food, Indian food (both pretty well seasoned!), and anything with tomato sauce. Last night, I gave him some pickle, expecting a sour face - but he ate it up and kept wanting more!

I was just cooking up some ham and eggs for dinner, (We looove breakfast) and spent the whole 5 minutes with a heartbroken baby pawing at my legs and giving me the boo boo lip, like I wasn't going to give him any...lol

I have been telling everyone that I refuse to have a kiddo who will only eat chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese...Looks like I got my wish..lol

My 9 month old will eat purees, but they slow him down-he prefers to totally feed himself! We give him whatever we are eating and he loves it all! He begs for food-even if I'm just having a snack, he wants some too! I don't think we are strange, but if we are out in public people stare and watch like hawks-I think they are afraid he'll choke. A friend of mine commented that she didn't think it was "healthy" for him to be feeding himself as he possibly couldn't be getting enough nutrition. Um, I thought that's what the breastfeeding part was for?

Lol my son would probably be digging the stuffed shells too! He was eating tortellini with us the other night and loooved it. He pretty much eats whatever we're eating. It's so much easier to me than spooning purees in his mouth because I can eat while he's feeding himself.
