2yr old sniffs tumeric

So my 27 mo old just snorted tumeric accidentally, i was letting him help me put the lid on the container(bad idea!). I got him to blow his nose once and wiped out was in reach with a damp tissue. He cried, nursed, cried etc for about 10 min then fell asleep. I can tell he is still uncomfortable as even as he sleeps in my lap right now he is rubbing his nose every few minutes. Any ideas to help him? Thanks

A nasal rinse might have helped. Or even breastmilk squirted up his nose. My boys love to sniff spices, I can totally see something like this happening to us!

My then-2 year old dd once took a big whiff of pepper. She sneezed, coughed and cried for a bit. I can't remember if we did anything to help, since she was/is very particuar when it comes to her nose. In the end, she was fine, just leery of sniffing things for a bit.
