pump slump anyone?

I just cannot get motivated to pump. At all. i'm at work, and have been putting it off for the last hour.

This has lasted a week, and I've been using the freezer stash more and more.

Any tricks to get over it?

Yes, definitely. My occassional pump slumps lasted a couple of days each, and every time it was harder and harder to get myself to pump. The one and only thing that motivated me to get going was that my supply actually started to drop (or I was worried that it was starting to drop).

My baby is 11 months old, and the only thing keeping me going now is the knowledge that I'm going to phase out pumping on her birthday. I've already dropped from 3 sessions to two (I'm getting the same measly 10 oz though). 5 more weeks....

Good luck, hope you get over that slump!

totally there.
i have to pump 3 times a day at work b/c i have a long commute and dh doesn't get home with dd until an hour and a half after i get home.
i have to keep giving myself pep talks and trying to build it up in my mind.
the rubber band hands free trick helps, and at one point (don't tell on me) i was watching daily show clips during a pumping session instead of working but it still didn't make me more than lukewarm in enthusiasm. my only positive thought is that i'll get to drop a session soon (right???).

I'm pumping as I type this! No hands-free device, just good balance.

I HATE pumping, and for weeks have been trying to reason myself out of it, but the fact is that my 10-month old needs what I pump at work, meager as it has become (8 ounces total in two sessions/day). I'd really like to cut down to one session/day, but know I can't do it because my output is already on the low side. It's been months since the freezer stockpile disappeared.

Does anyone have any idea when babies typically go down to just nursing in the morning and evening?

I know lots of people pump wean at 11-12 months-- but I don't know if they are replacing feedings with whole milk or formula.

Y'alls kiddos are so much older than mine! I can't stop pumping for months and months.
