Delayed vax= more reaction, and late for DTAP #3

I was going to do delayed vaxing, I got and liked Dr Sear's book a while ago. DS2 is now 18 months. He got the HIB and Pneu on time.

We are going tomorrow, I think we are already behind on our somewhat delayed DTAP vax's. We got one and two about 3 months late due to a whooping cough outbreak here then I skipped a few months. Since we are all out of sequence should I just skip anyways?

My hang up is on the rest (MMR, CP, Polio, Menin, Hep's). Are vax's MORE reactive when a person is OLDER? I had not thought of this before but recall reading it somewhere. The idea being (I think) that the immune system is already developed and CAN react more? I recall reading that more side effect show up on catch-up vax's and when vax studies were done on older children. I had no issue doing these after say 5, what ages would you catch up? Has anyone else heard of this?

For most things, a developed immune system is better able to handle what's tossed at it. It's vaccinating that prevents the immune system from developing.

It probably won't do any good to point out that polio hasn't been seen in this country in 30 years, yet an average of 10 die a year from the vaccine for it.
