Hi Everyone-
My name is Jessica and I'm new to the Mothering community...and have never been too involved in an online forum before...I've always been more of a "lurker." At any rate, I gave birth to a beautiful son, Felix, at the end of December. Since then, I have been making choices (like not circumcising him, using cloth diapers, babywearing, co-sleeping, etc) that felt "right" and "natural" to me. After trolling online for more information about my parenting choices, I happened upon Mothering. I was so pleased to find this wonderful resource! I feel on an island sometimes in terms of the choices I'm making as a parent...in my own community, babywearing warrants a lot of curious looks and snarky comments....so it's just nice to have somewhere to go with friendly "faces."
I look forward to getting to know everyone and becoming an active member of the community!
