Thread or Group Suggestion

I know this site is in full support of breastfeeding, as am I. But I know not everyone has been blessed with the opportunity to breastfeed for a variety of reasons. It would be nice if there was a formula feeding support thread to discuss the emotions or problems that can come with that.

There is often a thread going for people who could not breastfeed. If you cannot locate one please feel free to start one in FYT. I am sure you will get quite a few participants.

We have this thread in Breastfeeding Challenges, although it hasn't been posted to in a while.

That is a good thread, but I was thinking more of one that people who do formula feed can go to to ask for advice on formula, bottles, along with emotions that come with it. That seems more of one that is only for the emotions.

We often host threads asking questions about formula in Life with a Babe.

Yep! I just took a peek and many of those questions/topics are in there.

If you go here - http://www.mothering.com/discussions/search.php you can filter out just the threads you want. Then:

1. At the keyword enter formula or formula+bottles to narrow it even further
2. To the right, highlight the forum you want - Life with a Babe or Breastfeeding Challenges
3. Click Search Now

And that will give you a good list (approximately 1000 threads in each when I just tried)! To narrow that down, add words to the keyword field.

You can just repeat that process for the other topics you want to find. Hope that helps!!

ETA to actually offer a suggestion. Sorry about that! lol: I would suggest either bumping that thread annettemarie posted (you can always ask a new question in a support thread - and she moderates in there, so she's a great resource ), or starting a new 'Unable to Breastfeed' support thread to discuss the loss of a breastfeeding relationship, the challenges that come with that and how to move on to bottlenursing afterward, etc.
