Do You Keep Your DC's Baby Teeth? - Page 2

I don't know what I will do. I think I fall into the "why keep a peice of bone camp"

My mom has mine and it has always grossed me out.

I loved looking a my hair that my mom put in my baby book. I don't know why, to me, hair is less gross than teeth.

This is so funny, I was just going through a big box of my old things that my mom brought over and there was a little jar full of my baby teeth in it! It surprises me to know that's apparently common. It never occured to me to keep my three teenagers' baby teeth, but maybe I will save my 4yo's now.

Dd keeps her own teeth and won't have anything to do with the Tooth Fairy. She has lost at least one around the house, because she puts them in different places and takes them out, looks at them etc. We found one of my baby teeth in an old jewelry box. I know my mom kept some of them, at least for a while. DH's mom kept his umbilical cord stump for 30 some years before giving it to him. I'm not sure where that box has gotten to.

You've got me curious! I'll admit to keeping the cord stump when it fell off, but I'm not sure I could find it now - I know my husband thinks I'm off my rocker for saving that, but ah well, he thinks I'm strange for many other things too.

And, of course I'm saving teeth! We only have one (it had to be pulled when my son was two), but others will join it soon!

Yes, I keep them.

I have all the pregnancy tests for all 3 kids too.

No teeth kept here, except my wisdom teeth because I don't want to loose my wisdom.

It is a little creepy, and with teeth floating around the house I get the urge to bury them somewhere for someone to find and freak out over.

Well, ok, but it's pretty gross!

So, I wanted to save one of my chicken pox scabs so my mom put that in an album with a picture of me with the pox...

And, when my dad cut his finger off (they couldn't reattach it) we found it and now my mom puts it out with the halloween decorations every year, in with all the fake sculls and eyeballs and stuff

Oh I forgot about these! I have one from my angel, and like 5 from dd. I wish I still had the one from ds

We sent my son's teeth off to a place where they do research. They use the baby teeth to help study the environment and it's effect on our health.

oh, info??! This might be worth looking into. Do they require all the teeth, or could it just be a few.

It can be as little as 1 tooth. The only thing they ask is that you do not mix teeth from several children. You fill out a short form for each child and attach their teeth to the form. You can get all the info here:

I bought little glow in the dark, tooth shaped boxes called "Twinkle Toof"

It has a little paper inside to record when each tooth was lost. Looks cute on the shelf.

My younger son (almost7!!) still hasn't lost any teeth.

My older son has lost 8 teeth but refused to have anything to do with the tooth fairy. He keeps his teeth in the "Twinkle Toof" in his room.

My mom saved all of ours in little velvet boxes. I don't think it's weird at all to save them. But I don't think I'll save my kids'. They each have an adopted tree on DH's family's country property. Their cord stumps are buried under their trees. I imagine that we'll probably bury their teeth there, as well. It hasn't come up yet, because my DD1 is 5 1/2 but hasn't lost any teeth yet. She was late in getting her teeth, so I'm guessing she'll lose them late, too. She was almost a year before she had her first tooth...

Of course I dont know anyone who doesnt actually. I have all my baby teeth and would have my adult teeth I have had pulled, 3 of them, if they hadnt shattered when they where pulled.

I have both dd's and ds's in cute little boxes and will give them to them when they move out if they want them.

My baby teeth weren't kept and it makes me sad.

I bought a little porcelain firetruck that has a compartment for a lock of hair from the first haircut and one for the first tooth lost.
I'm sure I'll keep all his others too.

I have my wisdom teeth that were removed. They make me feel smart.
Lol.

My ds has only lost one tooth so far. I thought it was icky and tossed it. That kind of makes me feel like a bad mom, though.

No Way! Like a religious relic or something? I am partially disgusted and partially impressed. Awesome!
