I am currently pregnant with my second and this time around things are NOT the same, as to be expected as they are two very different little people in my belly. However, this time around I am having lots of bathroom issues... Currently 33 weeks pregnant I am no longer able to feel when I have to go to the bathroom; and for example I got up from my chair at work yesterday and peed my pants. Thank god it was the end of the day and I was leaving, but I didn't even know I had to go and I couldn't stop myself either. Is this common? I have done so many kegels it's not even funny, and I am still doing them every chance I get. What more can I do, I have another 7 weeks or so!! Please I need your help!!

Loss of bladder control

I don't know if its common, but immediately post-partum with my baby I got out of bed and full-on peed. That happened a couple of times (I had no idea I had to go...mortifying!) and got better, but ever since my daughter was born 13 months ago I've had stress incontinence (a little tinkle if I sneeze/cough) if my bladder is too full. I'm now pregnant again (almost 8 weeks) and I'm worried it will only get worse.
Women on this forum recommended the book "Beyond Kegels", which I didn't get around to ordering until I read your post (sigh...not sure if there are issues for these techniques during pregnancy). The other mamas indicated that incontinence of any kind is not normal, but a lot of women live with it, and that the "Beyond Kegels" program is effective.
So, not much help, but maybe a little. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say.

Just a thought, are you 100% positive it was urine? Is it possible that it was your bag of waters leaking? If it is possible, you would definitely want to go in asap and see your OB or midwife, since you're only 33 weeks.
If you're certain it was a bladder control issue, I wouldn't be too worried because it can happen in pregnancy. Maybe baby was in a weird position that was pushing on your bladder. It's still something I would personally talk to my care provider about, though.
