Screaming before sleeping...reaction to mandarin?

Hi mamas,

I am wondering if you think this might be a reaction to mandarin oranges.

Dd is 9 months old. She started eating solids regularly lately and we have progressed very quickly because she LOVES food. She complains if we don't feed her fast enough and chases us down if she sees us eating/snacking.

Last week, I gave her a little bit of mandarin orange while I was eating it. She loved it and wanted more. I waited for a few hours and saw no reaction so I gave her a bit more. She has been having some after every meal. At around the same time, she started having difficulties falling asleep (I still nurse her to sleep for the most part). She would nurse a little, pop off and scream and cry (20 - 50 minutes), then she might fall asleep. If I give up and take her out of the bedroom, then she would play as though nothing has happened. Do you think this could be a reaction (I am keeping the mandarins away from her for a few days), development or what? Would love to hear your opinions.

Also, what do you give a baby with lots of mild allergies and sensitivities for breakfast? I want to give her something lighter at the beginning of the day and want to stay away from meats. She seems to be okay with most veggies, chicken and lamb. I haven't tried any grains, and need to stay away from legumes (sour breath from them and possibly worsens her acid reflux).

Thanks!

I'd definitely take it out for at least a week and see if the sleeping problems go away, then try them again. To see if there's a connection.

Why are you staying away from meat? Just out of curiosity, since you said you were eating lamb...

Is she on medication for the reflux? Did you ever determine a cause for the reflux? As in, get to baseline?

What other foods is she sensitive to that you know of?

I never got used to the idea of eating meat for breakfast and just want to give her something lighter for morning. She gets meat for lunch and dinner.

She is on meds for reflux and we never got to baseline. In fact, it's been worse lately, though it doesn't seem to bother her much. I am suspecting that it's tubers that's causing issues right now (initially was soy) so I am staying away from them.

She gets sour breath whenever I have nuts, legumes and apples. Her very mild eczema seems to get a bit worse with peaches and mango in her diet. I am/she is also staying completely away from gluten, rice, and dairy. Zucchini was a no-no but I can't remember what happened.
