Hi mamas,
I am wondering if you think this might be a reaction to mandarin oranges.
Dd is 9 months old. She started eating solids regularly lately and we have progressed very quickly because she LOVES food. She complains if we don't feed her fast enough and chases us down if she sees us eating/snacking.
Last week, I gave her a little bit of mandarin orange while I was eating it. She loved it and wanted more. I waited for a few hours and saw no reaction so I gave her a bit more. She has been having some after every meal. At around the same time, she started having difficulties falling asleep (I still nurse her to sleep for the most part). She would nurse a little, pop off and scream and cry (20 - 50 minutes), then she might fall asleep. If I give up and take her out of the bedroom, then she would play as though nothing has happened. Do you think this could be a reaction (I am keeping the mandarins away from her for a few days), development or what? Would love to hear your opinions.
Also, what do you give a baby with lots of mild allergies and sensitivities for breakfast? I want to give her something lighter at the beginning of the day and want to stay away from meats. She seems to be okay with most veggies, chicken and lamb. I haven't tried any grains, and need to stay away from legumes (sour breath from them and possibly worsens her acid reflux).
Thanks!
