Itchy skin-what do you use for the following products?

I have very dry/itchy skin, always have but I notice that it gets worse when I use certain products. Some products, a certain dishwasher soap for example actually make me break out in little red bumps all over wherever it touches. DD I think has my skin too, sensitive and tending to be dry (I drink a ton of water and it helps a little). So in our quest as a family to be more natural minded in all aspects of our lives I was wondering what the least toxic/environmentally harmful products do you use for the following things: shampoo, laundry detergent, fabric softener ( not necessary I know but I like my clothes and sheets soft). I just want things that contain the fewest amount of chemicals possible really. Another thing I am interested in is toothpaste and deodorant. I don't use soap, just shampoo for my hair, but DH does and I would something for him too....

Ok so hit me up with your natural/eco friendly/chemical free products you love and use!

I have incredibly dry skin - esp on my hands, and one brand of soap that I've found to be not-too-drying is Dove for sensitive skin (I know - not "natural" or especially eco-friendly, but it works really well for me).

An interesting thing I read the other day was about "over-methylators" and "undermethylators". I believe it was "over-methylators" who tend to have chemical/perfume allergies. I'll try to dig up the link for you...

ETA sorry a quick search didn't find that exact link for you... but do a little googling and you'll find lots of info if you're interested.
