Lookie at my pics! I got soooo tired of the weeds out here. Not happening anymore.

At the back of my asparagus bed I'm going to plant squash to grow up the fence. And as of today I have one more freezer potato bed, and it'll also have pie pumpkins growing out of one end and I'll train them to grow up on an arbor connected to my garden fence.

Your link was broken

I'd love to see though! I just finished 2 sfg-ish beds myself.

Very nice! How long did it take you to get all that set up? I love the freezer bed idea.

Thanks! I'm on week 2 of working on it. This is the 3rd year on the asparagus, though. We now have 4 upright freezer beds and one small chest freezer. The kids are out right now filling the bottom w/rocks. We're going to use that one for swiss chard and radishes and spinach right now. Then we'll plant pumpkins or winter squash when they are done. All I have left to do is finish weeding the asparagus and I have an area there to plant squash, so plant that. Plant the remaining 2/3 of one of the big freezer beds, and the smaller one. Then I wait until my rabbits poop more and plant the last 10'x3' wooden bed. We'll plant baby watermelons and cantaloupe there. Oh, and put up 2 bamboo teepees for tomatoes and peas.

I dug down underneath a spot where we've dumped chicken poop and straw and stuff and wood chips and pine shavings and guinea poop and goat poop for 6 years. I found the BEST earthworm-ridden compost. That's what I've been putting in the freezer beds. We'll have the best potatoes evah!!!!

We do intend to paint all of the freezers this Fall. They'll look a bit nicer, but we are on 5 acres and those are behind the house.

That's amazing. You'll have to post more pics when everything is in full bloom.

Here are pics of my garden growing wildly! I cannot believe the way my plants are behaving this year. Just incredible!
