Doesn't *everyone* get sore boobs in the TWW?

I alway do, but I always see people mention that they knew they were pregnant because their boobs were sore. What gives?

And I have heard people mention that they knew they were pregnant because their boobs were not sore! Mine are always sore in the TWW and I haven't been pregnant...so can't really comment otherwise!

I think it's just different people, with different hormone fluctuations, noticing different things. When I was younger I use to get muscle achy on the side of my boobs, almost near my armpits before af. With my first pregnancy, my boobs were so sore, I could barely wear a bra - but don't remember alot of pain w/ 2 and 3. Nowadays they do tend to get really sore pre-af - but I'm getting old so you know . . . . hormone fluctuations.

Please... I'm much older

Mine are worse some months than others. Sometimes I can barely stand it they hurt so bad, other cycles they are barely tender.

I have never gotten sore boobs before, whether it be ovulation or leading up to AF. Though I have them now.

I have some cycles that have no soreness and others that makes it feel like my boobs are in a vice. Who knows...

Hmm now I have to Google what causes breast soreness in the TWW. Progesterone I suppose

Mine are always sore during the TWW, but not til like 7-8 dpo. When I am pregnant they start feeling sore around 3 dpo.

Yes its progesterone...

but oddly, it was the lack of sore boobs that made me question if I was maybe pregnant.

mine are usually sore for 2 days around ovulation, and then a day or two before AF. other than that, they're not sore. bordering on numb.

never had a sore boob in my life. not even when pregnant.

I've never had sore boobs until I got pregnant, so it was definitely one of the signs for me that I needed to POAS.

I've always had sore boobs in the tww... even since I was a teenager (although I guess at that point it wasn't a tww). Some months its immediately after O, some months I'm in excruciating pain, some months its just a few days before AF, some months they are not very tender at all.

No sore boobs here, pregnant or not... I get hot hands while pregnant instead *rolls eyes* Yes, I am weird.

Mine were always sore as long as I can remember about 5-6 days after O, but then after DS was born they didn't hurt after O until the cycle he stopped nursing. I was sure I was pregnant since they hadn't hurt in 2 1/2 years.

The only time I've ever had sore boobs was when I had a flaming case of mastitis. Man, that was awful. Other than that, nope.

i dont recall getting sore boobs in my first pregnancy. In my 2nd, they werent sore enough to get in the way of bf'ing ds1. i was one of those lucky mamas who breastfed thru pregnancy with barely a hiccup-except the reduced milk supply. i took progesterone in the tww and dont recall sore boobs, and none when i stopped after 2 weeks. i think i had a sore left nipple around 5 weeks that didnt last long....
