I'm trying to figure out whether it is a coincidence or there's something to it.
Several months ago, DD (7) ate a lot of tangerines, maybe 10, 15 in one setting? And then got weak, her abdominal pain got severe, and she was kept in the hospital overnight, as the surgeon couldn't be sure--she was pointing at her appendix precisely, yet it would have been an atypical case. Then she got 100% better with IV hydration, and was released in the morning. We were told she was dehydrated, which seemed odd, as aren't tangerines full of fluid?
Today she ate a lot of tangerines again. Got weak and spent hours lying down. Again, her right side was hurting, but not as bad as last time. She could get up and move. We gave her pedialite to keep her from dehydration, and she feels better, but not completely well.
Is this a weird coincidence? I don't remember if she ate tangerines meanwhile. She could have. I'm just not sure, I haven't kept track.
