WHEN am I going to DRY UP?

I've had bad breast pain since January. We weaned in late Feb and I got pregnant at the same time. Whatever is causing this pain - I believe it's a plugged duct - is not going away and it seems to get worse at certain times. If it is a plug, won't it just go away by itself? I can still express droplets of milk. It's really tiresome...and painful...what should I do???

If it is a plug it will not go away by itself. At the same time, if it is a plug you would probably have had an infection and possibly an abscess by now if you were not draining it at all. Have you seen your hcp?

Who do I see for this? Do OB's know anything about lactation? My old one wasn't any help when I first started.

I would recommend calling a lactation consultant.
