PP Yeast infection help

Hi ladies,

Anyone have any advice for a yeast infection? My mom is pressuring me to use an over the counter, my midwife says its still to early to use my usual course of boric acid. I don't like the idea of inserting anything in there anyway because I'm still healing and tender but I feel like getting rid of this before it gets out of control is in my best interest.

I have a bunch of sutures that are healing and some spots where the sutures failed so there is still some sting that makes me a little hesitant about topical applications though I think yogurt might be okay.

Oh, I'm 3 wks PP and still bleeding a little..if that makes a difference

I would start taking some things orally- I too wouldn't like the idea of inserting anything at this point.

I would take GSE, Olive Leaf, a B-Complex, Garlic, and coconut oil.

That, and cut out carbs for a bit?

Hi there,

I frequently get yeast infections and I find that if I can catch it early enough acidophilus 2x/day can keep it away. I also drink tons of water and eliminate refined sugars. This may not help if its already a full-on yeast infection but I thought I'd mention it in case.

Thanks everyone,

I love my mom so much and she has been such an incredible help since Ruben was born but with her repeatedly telling me to get out of the middle ages and buy some monastat my brain went into mutant mode and I forgot all these things I can do to balance my body out.

I started on the GSE and B-complex, I'm about to have a nice big bowl of yogurt, and I'll ask my husband to pick up some probiotics for me on his way home. I also found a bottle of "yeast away" homeopathics stashed in my medicine cabinet that I started popping.

I have such a tough time cutting out sugar but its happening, too

dang

thanks again

Ah yes, I did forget about probiotics but I always do because we take them daily regardless so I forget that lots of people don't. Also, try to specifically get L. Reuteri. It's the best strain for rebuilding the gut and that's pretty important during/after candida issues.
