Cari, that's brilliant! I am wanting to do a poster map but can't imagine how to make one small enough to fit in my space. A tryptich out of posterboard....tied shut with ribbon if needed maybe....

Ditto on the orange paper. Only on the Aries new moon!

When I went out for supplies... I ended up coming home with just a small spiral bound sketch book, no magazines. Going to hang out in the attic (my craft room) and see if I find some quotes that grab me and go from there. I think I am supposed to draw, doodle and write this year. Hmmm...

Maybe the pictures will come later? After I pick up my pay check or with my camera.

It's interesting to notice that a few people branched out to do something different this year. Myself included! I hope this "new" way works for me as well as the "old" way.

On validity of Treasure Mapping...

I wanted to share how great and specific TM can turn out to be. Not everything that I put on my map last year came to fruition, but the following is quite striking! I started in a place where DP was laid off, and we still had quite big hopes for the future, if not much money.

Example:
I put "MASTER's DEGREE" for DP (we are not in a place to pay for it - debt, and he was laid off for three months when I made the map).
Result -> DP got a new job couple of months ago that offers to pay for his Masters. He is starting the program this summer.

Example:
I put "earning $"
Result -> DP's salary is within 2K of the number I put down.

Example:
I chose images regarding taking a vacation.
Result - > very spontaneously (from no plans on going, to buying a ticket that weekend) I ended up on a plane to Europe this past August. I visited family I haven't seen in 10 years.

Example:
I had a picture of a blue eyed blond baby, just because I have baby fever, and I loved the image, even though DP and I are not likely to end up with such a baby, given what we have to offer in terms of genes.
Result -> my sister visited us with her baby girl for over a month. Her little one looked almost identical to the image I selected. (This time around, I'm more specific, and actually have pregnancy on the map. I love my nieces and nephews, but I'm seriously ready for MY own baby. ).

Example:
I had a picture of a german shepherd. (I want a dog. )
Result -> My OTHER sister (she lives very closeby), ended up getting a puppy identical to the one in the picture. Ironically enough, I spent this winter walking her dog, since she was pregnant with twins and needed some help.

That's awesome I like the idea of manifesting ones own drawings/doodles... because YOU know exactly what you want it to be like, even if it's not the best drawing (that'd be in reference to me.. I can't draw a straight line lol)

For me, things seem to be focusing on health/weight, a home OF OUR OWN , motivation (I'm having issues with it lately), and more 'together' time as a family.

Going to make a cup of coffee and google some images now that I think I'm done cutting out of mags. I'm VERY glad I got a new toner cartridge for my laser printer the other day now!

Omg, Oriola... The exact same thing happened to me. I saw the words "Best of Both Worlds." It just caught my eye and really spoke to me... and I wasn't exactly sure of the meaning of why... I just knew I needed to cut it out and put it on my Map. How funny!!!

I am about to begin putting my Map together. I spent the morning cutting out images/phrases from magazines and will now piece together my Map... using stickers and scrapbook paper as well.

I was beginning to stress over "how" to do it... baguas or chakras, etc. But, from the beginning nothing that structured, rigid, or rule-following felt right for me. I like for things to happen very organically in my life and feel that more and more with each passing year... so I am feeling as though that is how my Map needs to happen... not just placed together within a set of rigid rules of how it "should" be done.

We'll see what happens...

I am hoping we all post images of our results. I would love to see everyone else's.

Btw... my 7-year-old daughter has already completed hers. It is quite lovely... hand-drawing and stickers on canvas. The only part of hers that has me worried is a picture of me with 5 kids. She is an only child by a conscious decision of her parents. Ha ha!!

We also saw a white butterfly and a chipmunk today (she is obsessed with Alvin and the Chipmunks lately). We also went outside to take a break from our "Dream Board Day" and while we were outside... just as the beaming sunshine was beginning to turn into raindrops, three great eagles circled above us and just circled for a good 5 minutes before leaving us. I thought it was quite meaningful for our special day.

I am in I just got home and I am behind already. I am off to look through magazines.

Mine are not new But old enough that I don't remember them. I didn't have the fiances to get new ones. Maybe next year. A large part of me thinks this wont work because I couldn't do it all perfectly, but I will try my best

Just popping in. I got some, not all of my supplies. I was glad to see that I don't have to be done until the 18. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed and have only had a few images picked out. I am going to work a bit more tonight and try to find things online.

If you have a decent printer, you can find TONS on the net You're never behind.. you're right where you're meant to be

THAT is where it's at for images this year for me. mags had little, except phrases. I'm finding a lot on the web though Happy mapping Red

Wow I am so impressed with the people who are already (or close to) done. I have barely started on mine. Today has been super busy. Taking oldest DD to and from school, taking her to the Dr. (she has pink eye and so do I), running errands, cleaning, my school work, it never ends!! I will find a way to get my TM done though by the deadline!

Mine happened so quickly. I found so many great things and so quickly and feel really satisfied with what came together. Really it was complete within an hour. I'm excited to see what this year brings.

From last years map i had put an image of a pregnant woman hugging a man on it. I was pregnant and single when i put the image on my map and my intention was for bringing a man into my life. The images of the couple strongly reminded me of my brother and his wife however but i still put it up with my intentions. Funny enough this year my brother and his wife are pregnant again. Guess my intentions went towards them i'm still single and not pregnant any longer so...Another thing was a house i put on last years map. My little one accidentally got red paint all over the house and i figured oh well a little paint never hurt anyone. I am actually living in a red house right now, was nowhere in my thoughts last year. I love treasure maps

FWIW (I am new to this) I am using mags I got free from the local library. I don't need to spend the money to buy magazines (and I don't feel good about buying if I don't have to) , and I feel good about using ones that would be recycled, and recycling them myself when I am done. I haven't looked at them yet, have to wait til tomorrow to have a nice peaceful block of time to focus. The biggest thing I have been affieming leading up to TMing is not worrying

Hubby and I were finally able to sit down and start cutting. Speaking of differences in maps, there is noticeable change in mine in that I found a lot of words this time. Although last year I have some things spelled out, I have mostly images. And this year I do have a lot of images, but tons of words/phrases. Which is very interesting b/c I have been feeling like talking a lot lately. Which is a good thing b/c my business is a lot of me talking. lol

Dh is already finished now. His are small and to the point. I do feel like he was much more into it this year though. Last year he just sort of haphazardly put some stuff on a board. This year he was really thinking and looking hard. He even got frustrated a couple of times when he couldn't find what he wanted. But he's done and I took a look at it and it was really cool b/c it turns out that he used several images I almost used. I'm also excited he put so much effort into it this year b/c we have a lot to manifest and bring to fruition. Big plans b/n now and next Aries New Moon. Really big plans.

Anyhow, just checking in. I'm about to paste everything to the board. I need a few more pictures, but can't find them in the magazines I have and my printer is out of ink I will look around tomorrow though for more.

I just got home with my magazines and poster board. I've expressed all year how badly my map seemed to go, but recently had some insight. Here are a couple of examples:

Small Example:
I have an image of a woman with blonde curly hair, in great shape, doing the splits in the middle of my map. I wanted to do a lot of yoga this year and get back some flexibility in a bad hip. Then, I tore my ACL, had surgery, and spent most of the year recovering. However, last week I permed my hair and it looks EXACTLY like the lady's in the photo. Weird? It cracks me up! lol

Big Example:
I have an image from England and the caption says something like, "Will Travel, Great Britain." Traveling is something that I LOVE to do, but with three kids it doesn't happen often. The UK is a place I am really burning to go to. However, I didn't make there this year. I did, in fact, make it to Nicaragua. It wasn't until the day I returned, April 1, and looked up at my map and saw this, "Will Travel," and realized that I DID travel. It wasn't to the UK and I wasn't even expecting to enjoy Nicaragua. But I LOVED every second of it and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to go.

I also had a lot of images of performances, solo, band, and things that have to do with gigs. I've actually done a lot of gigs this last year. They weren't all ones that I wanted to do or would count as really cool, career-furthering opportunities, but they were real live gigs. So, I'm practicing gratefulness for that. There could be many other things on my map that I am not recognizing as fulfilled, when perhaps it was, in a different way than I expected.

I'm going to be extremely intentional about this map. I'll be broader in some ways. I need to focus much more on my state of mind than on tangible accomplishments. The accomplishments happen. I'm an extremely active, hardworking person. But, I really lack gratefulness lately, and the ability to see the positive...feel happy. Or even just feel okay, safe, etc. I want to focus on those inward things this year. I need to be more grateful.

Okay so I am making good progress. I have a lot done in just a couple of hours.

I did end up picking some pictures from the net. And I including a lot of written phrases of affirmations that I have in one book that I bought a while ago but never really looked at. I wrote them in my own handwriting to make them that much more personal to me.

However, my "Helpful people, angels and travel" block remains empty. Can someone give me some examples of this? There is nothing that I would rather do less than travel, honestly, so that is out

Okay. I'm done. Took a good 2+ hours. I'm not sure it's 100% complete. I'm very very tired though. So I will look at it with fresh eyes tomorrow and see if I feel anything is missing. So far so good though.
