anyone take temps under armpit? what are you temps?

Hi, ive been consistently taking my temperature under the armpit over the years, and got a fairly consistent pattern of 95.9 before O and 96.3 after.

Ive heard that armpit temperatures are unreliable though. Does anyone else temp this way, and what are your temperatures?

oh no, you can be banned for armpit temping.

seriously, for bbt purposes, there are 2 places you can temp- mouth closed, under your tongue with the probe touching the fleshy part that connects your tongue to the bottom of you mouth, as close to the midline as possible, but always in the same place (as in, slightly to the left or slightly to the right of midline, but always the same,) or vaginally. armpits do not allow for the sensitivity that is needed to detect what's going on accurately enough.

actually, Katie Singer (The Garden of your Fertility) reccommends either temping orally or in your armpit. I have always had issues with super low temps cuz I snooze with my mouth wide open (catching flies...) and I have found that when I temp in my pit, I seem to get much more realistic temperatures. Like I actually see a shift! Whoa!
So I say if it works for you, it works for you.
As to what my temps are...97 something pre-o and 98 something post-o.

true dat if something works for you, great. but im thinking you were asking because maybe it doesnt- the only charts ive seen with armpit temps have been very hard to interpret. armpit temps are the least accurate of any method, influenced by a lot of things because it is the temp of the surface, not in your body, and bbt sometimes comes down to small differences. good luck!

I was last cycle and i was getting very low temps, i'm now doing it orally this cycle and they are higher.
