I'm feeling sleep deprived and at a loss at the moment. DD just turned three, and has started stating the opposite when she has a need, i.e. she gets hurt, and says "I don't need a kiss," or "I don't need to go to bed" when tired, "I don't need to go potty", then a minute later has an accident, etc.
I'm guessing it's an independence thing, more like "Mom, I don't need you involved in this", but she really still does need some help. Any suggestions how to approach it?
