Am I Ovulating?

This is my 1st month using an ovulation kit. I started charting BBT last month. According to the length of my previous cycles, I should be ovulating any day now. I got a negative result yesterday and today at 4pm. Also, my temp has been the same for 3 days, it has not dipped or risen. Therefore, I am assuming I am not ovulating yet. However, I noticed today at 6pm that my cervical fluid is very wet. I just checked it and it is stretchy and egg whitey.. which should indicate ovulation. I just bought "Taking Charge of your Fertility" (Which was recommended by you guys on this site, thanks!) and it indicates that out of these 3 ways to check ovulation, cervical fluid is the best way.

So what does that mean... do you think I'm ovulating? Could I have a false reading on my ovulation kit?

EWCM can arrive several days before O. (As an example: In a typical month, I'd O on CD13... but have EWCM or watery CM CD 9-12). OPKs give you 24-48 hour warning before you O. It's possible that you're gearing up to O now. Good luck and happy BDing!!

eta: It's also possible that OPKs miss your LH surge. Like anything else TTC related, they're not foolproof. But I'd keep testing if I were you!
