newborn baby's head support

So I am freaking out here. I was dealing with my 2.5 year old DD who is going thru the defying stage (I was putting her in time out and sitting next to her, while holding her arm). My 3 week old infant was in my left arm with her neck laying on my arm (I hope it makes sense). Anyway my older DD made me so mad that I was not paying attention to my newborn who was in my arms. Now I second guess myself - did I support my little baby's neck properly? I just don't know how I am going to go thru all these years parenting my 2 girls without worrying myself to death!
I keep looking at my newborn and she is just peacefully sleeping while I am worrying here! She is OK, right?

my dd is 4 months and i just recently bonked her head for the first time. i fell to the ground gave her lots of kisses, cried and felt horrible. my mother was there and witnessed the event and she just had to remind me that it's ok. if your baby isn't showing obvious signs of immediate medical need, she's probably ok and, unfortunately there will be a time that it happens again - DON'T PANIC.

My friend whose mom is an anthropologist told me that supporting newborn's head's is a cultural thing. In other words, there are other cultures that don't worry about supporting newborns' heads and those babies turn out just fine! Don't worry, mama!!

ITA the "it's cultural" bit. Don't worry.
I fell down the stairs with dd in my arms a while ago. I cried more than she did. Kids are way hardier than we give them credit for.
