What do I do with these? - Page 2

1. sorry, I'm picturing your son getting a doctorate in religion and people being like "so....you want to be a minister or something?" "Oh no, I'm an atheist, I just know a LOT about religions."

2. 'For food and drink and happy days we praise your name oh lord' could become
'For food and drink and happy days we give thanks to the earth' and change the end motion to spreading your arms out to indicate/encompass the earth.

As far as saying grace or taking a moment of gratitude goes, I'm a big fan of the passive voice. "For all the bounty at our table, we are thankful." That works for pretty much everyone, no matter their beliefs. Or you can make a game of thanking everyone who took a part--the worms; the microbes; the farmers, both long ago and recently, who developed the plants to increase their yield; the farmers today who grew them; the workers who harvested them; the truckers who transported them to your grocery store... if you take a good look at all who had a hand in bringing food to your table you can do it for the whole meal! (I suggest doing it that way just once in a while though, lol!)
