So, dp recently discovered that he has inactive tb. (he has lived most of his life in a rather under developed region) He will begin treatment soon and dd and I will have our own testing. I am curious to know others thoughts on tb and treatment. I have searched the forums but did not come up with much information.

Thanks!

WHAT?!!!! hold on. did he get the TB vaccine as a kid? i know it as TABC. does he really have inactive TB or is it just the antibodies from the vaccine?

i am from a developing country myself and got the vaccine as a kid. so of course i ALWAYS test positive for inactive TB. then they take pictures of my lungs and ofcourse they are clear. i have never had to go thru any treatment.

i doubt that he got the vaccine as a kid...he grew up in the us but in a rural native alaskan community where tb is prevalent...i think he had chest xrays today that confirmed tb. and the dr was initially surprised by the presence of tb but then not at all when dp told him where he is from.
