dots in the result window - updated

So I took a HPT this morning, and there were three little dots in the window where the second line would be. I always thought there was either a line or nothing at all? It was a $$$ tree test. I tried to take a picture because my camera quality is so bad that it didn't show up that well

I would test again - sounds like an error to me. Are the dots in a line or are they just randomly in the test window?

So, I called the number on the box. I explained what it looked like, and the person I talked to said that little dots where the second line would be is a positive result, and means you just don't have enough of the hormone in your urine yet to produce a full line. She said to try testing again in 3 days, so that's what I'm going to do.

Congratulations!

I had the same thing happen with two FRERs in 2008. The line was dotted intstead of solid and I really questioned whether it was positive or not. I phoned the 1-800 number and they told me exactly what you were told - that if the dots were where a positive line should be, and if the dots were more or less in line with eachother, then it was positive. It's a flaw in how the test line solution was applied in the manufacturing. They sent me coupons for free tests.

I hope that you get a solid, unmistakable BFP soon!
