we adopted a dog that was riddled with fleas last august (he even has phantom fleas where he still itches, but no longer are fleas or skin damage. they were that bad). he was clear when he came to us, but i am now hyper-aware. asking and internetting, i am finding rec'd that given our two dogs who go outside (and even with them being frontlined) and our mouse issue indoors (yep, the cat has caught one, or three...), we should be putting something also on our indoor cat. ick. and expensive. what do you all do? anyone have any thoughts on this issue?

I would use Advantage or Advantage Multi or Revolution....they are all once a month treatments....you don't want to go through the hassle again of fleas. If one gets it they all will.

that indoor cat...she is infested with fleas! UPDATE

well, i did advantage only once in the spring since the dogs are treated monthly with frontline. dog started itching last week. found flea on him last night. looked this morning, cat is infested! so yeah, the answer is do treat those indoor cats. have no idea how we'll treat her. she is bigger than my dogs with as much hair as a persian. she is very hostile and will not allow me to comb her. i have been bitten and scratched just from attempting to look at her! anyway, there is the lesson. oh, and apparently, frontline isn't working like it used to. so the dogs are probably infested, too. poo.
