My 10 mo DS almost always naps in his crib. Occasionally we have a car nap if we're out for some reason right at nap time. However, I would like for him to occasionally take a nap in the carrier. He will fall asleep in the carrier, but he wakes up really easily when in it. The last time I tried, I was walking for about 20 minutes before he fell asleep. He was asleep for about five minutes before I stopped walking and sat down. Almost as soon as I sat down, he woke up.

Do you have to be moving the whole time for them to stay asleep or was he just asleep too short of a time to stay asleep once I stopped moving? Or is every babe different?
