This is my 7th pregnancy.

I miscarried my 2nd pregnancy at 7.5 weeks, then went on to have 3 more children.

In Dec. of 2008, I found out I got pregnant on the Mirena IUD. That led to a very long, confusing situation that ended with emergency surgery for a ruptured ectopic over a month after testing positive.

One crazy night and one fallopian tube later, here I am.

I have an appointment next week to rule out a repeat ectopic. I'm only slightly nervous, probably because I'm still rather numb about this surprise!

I saw and heard Bean's little heartbeat today!
Pure magic.

It was because I got real "sick" yesterday. At night, I got real dizzy, nauseated and a headache, but the dizziness was so strong it was the worst. I had to hold on when sitting still!
It didn't really pass, and my SO thought my pulse was a little low. But my o2 levels was fine (our little miss cotton ball button uses a pulseox 24/7, so we have several, so we checked me with one).
Anywho, I fell asleep, my SO was up all night watching me (lovely, sweet, wonderful man, so worried about me). And this morning he called the hospital, and they wanted me up there. It still was as bad.
My best friend came to pick me up with his car and take me, since SO couldn't leave the kids. (His 11, 13 and 15 yos. stayed at our house, so SO got some help too!)

And my best friend stayed with me the whole time, held my hand and was just there. I was scared. And they saw my low pulse, and added a low bloodpressure. But my blood work was fine. And it was probably just the low BP and pulse causing it.
And so we checked Bean too, and the tiny heartbeat was perfect! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow (from our guess work).
I filmed it for my SO. I had to wipe some tears. So did my friend, he got all touched too. He is the best.
Anywho, it was really good. But I'm also scared because it kinda makes it more real, so what if I loose Bean now?
Ah well, it wouldn't be any better without seeing and hearing it, so I'm glad I did.

aw Pixiekisses, I looove your story It almost made ME cry. hehe. Im a major softie, especially now! Im sooo happy you got to see your little Bean and his or her little heart was pumping away! how wonderful! and sooo awesome you have such a fabulous SO and best friend. Thats all a woman needs (oh, plus the kiddies of course, haha)

I guess I am joining... I have had an interesting time over the last month and I am still really scared at this point. I am taking one day at a time.

Joining up finally. I held out for a whopping two weeks. Well, it's sure nice to see some familiar names swimming around over here...I know you ladies are going to be the ones keeping me sane!

I had my second u/s yesterday and, miracle of miracles, everything is looking nice and normal! 9w4d yesterday. Measured 27.7mm. Heartrate was 160.
I guess little sprout has graduated to fetus status now too.
And I've been booted out of the RE's office and over to my regular friendly OB. It's all starting to feel a little more real!

How's everyone else doing?

HOORAY!!! What wonderful news

I am a little worried, but am trying to remain calm. At my u/s on Monday, the RE said it looked like a possible velamentous cord insertion, but it is pretty early to be sure. I resisted the urge to google until last night and am now wishing I didn't. Nothing is ever easy with me :P I go back in 2 weeks and then see the MFM people for another scan in a month, so should know more by then.
