New here with questions

Hi! I have a 6 month old son. We have had him receive all the recommended vaccines so far. We both believe in the importance of having our children vaccinated. With a recent insurance change, our insurance will not pay for vaccines so therefore we have now had to start going to the health dept. for him to get them. They told me today they were out of the Hib and so he would be getting a different vaccine. Although DH is actually in med school, like the PPs here, I too am intimidated by nurses or doctors. I asked if they would contain any thimerosal and she said no. However after we left I realized he had received Pediarix instead of the Pentacel he had previously been given at 2 and 4 months. So I wanted to look up online if this was okay that he didn't get the same vaccine. Well now, I am so thoroughly disgusted. Does Pentacel actually contain aborted fetal cells? Why is this not widely known and why are more people not making a big stink about this?

Also I was told to call in a few weeks to see if they had anymore Hib vaccine and to bring him in then. Do they make just a single Hib vaccine? I don't want him receiving multiple doses of something else just to get the Hib.

Yes they have HIB only vaccines. ACTHIB
You'd be surprise what else you are not told if you keep digging.....

The polio portion of Pentacal is grown on MRC-5 cell lines which is derived from aborted fetal tissue
Quote:
The MRC-5 cell line was developed in September 1966 from lung tissue taken from a 14 week fetus aborted for psychiatric reason from a 27 year old physically healthy woman. The cell morphology is fibroblast-like. The karyotype is 46,XY; normal diploid male. Cumulative population doublings to senescence is 42-48. G6PD isoenzyme is type B.
Pentacal also contained aluminum, polysorbate 80, formaldehyde, 2-phenoxyethanol, and bovine serum which is produced from blood collected at slaughterhouses from cattle bred to supply meat destined for human consumption.

The polio strains in Pediarix are cultured on monkey kidney cells and also contain bovine serem plus a host of other chemicals similar to pentacal

I am seriously stunned at some of these ingredients. I realize they need to use human or animals cells in order to make a vaccine truly a vaccine but it disgusts me that they would use fetuses. Don't get me wrong, all the other animal ingredients are gross to me as well but are there any that don't contain the MCR-5 cell? He won't get shots again until he's 12 months but that's when he'll get the MMR. I've read that that contains the same cell too. I'm very pro-life and have a huge problem with this. The whole day I keep looking at my son and feeling so guilty that I got him injected with an aborted fetus.

The following is a chart of all vaccines that are derived from fetal cell lines.
