I would like suggestions for a homeschool curriculum that is compter-based. I don't mind a low, monthly fee if it's worth it.

Suggestions?

Time 4 Learning?

I don't know if there is a site that has one full curriculum but there are two that I can think of off the top of my head that pertain to a specific subject.

www.readingeggs.com

www.mathletics.ca

http://www.lessonpathways.com

there are also thousands of free unit studies online.

are you looking for a curriculum that gives 'teaching materials' or are you looking for something that the kids can do on the 'puter by themselves?

I second Time4Learning. Both my boys have enjoyed it. It is sectioned by subject and grade and you can print out progress reports and results of tests.

I am not including a link because they have a program of compensation based on links. I'm just passing along something the boys have liked and used (completely non-compulsory) at times.

we really like T4L too. i used it last year with my dd & just started using it with my son a few weeks ago. it's $20 a month, which is cheap i suppose (but i'm very frugal, so i usually only use it to help teach reading & then drop it). i can honestly say my children enjoy it though. the phonics program is very comprehensive imho, but the other subjects will still probably need some supplementing (but they are still very good and engaging). my favorite thing about T4L is they let you have access to a grade below and a grade above the level you put your child in. for example, i registered my son as a 1st grader, and he has access to grades K, 1, and 2. pretty cool. hth.

For now I'm looking for a program that does it all- plan, teach, grade, etc. I figured that would be fine for Kindergarten, if we decide to go that way. Once I get comfortable with HSing then I can get creative and lesson plan...I think.

Sounds like Time4learning would work for you as it plans, teaches, grades, and keeps track of everything. It think it's a great way to ease into hs'ing. We also use it and my 6 yr. old dd really enjoys it. She is officially in K but has finished all of the K work and almost all of the 1st grade work. Not sure if I will use it again next year. We also use Lesson Pathways for History.

What grade does T4L go up to? I'm wondering if it might be a good suggestion for my friend I posted about in my thread about K-12. Her gd will be a 6th grader and they mostly need a straightforward math curriculum that doesn't require a lot of input from the parent.
