Polysorbate 80 Question

I know that Polysorbate 80 is an ingredient in some vaccines that causes some people concern. I do not know that much about it specifically, though. My question is that I just ordered some sodium ascorbate from Bronson Labs that are capsules and it says that it contains polysorbate 80. Should I be concerned about this?

I usually order sodium ascorbate for me and the older kids in capsule form and it was called The Right C. I can't find that anymore, so I ordered from Bronsons where I get the powder form for my younger kids. The powder form does not have ingredients listed on it, so I wonder if this has polysorbate 80 also? I just thought this was so strange. Anybody know anything about this? Thanks!

Obviously injecting Polysorbate 80 would be far worse than ingesting it. Many foods have Polysorbate 80 in them (ice cream for 1). Personally I steer clear of preservatives if I can possible help it. The sodium asborbate I use does not have it in there. When DS was born, the ped told me to give him TriSolVol for a supplement. I declined when I saw it has polysorbate 80 in it.

from what i've read it is a fertility suppressant and while i'll be careful not to get into the whole conspiracy theory thing here, it has been suggested that it was put into vaccines to slow the birth rate in 3rd world countries. not sure how i feel about that, but it is something i avoid.

I'm also wondering about Polysorbate 80 ......

I recently looked at a list of vaccines and their ingredients from informedchoice.com, and saw Polysorbate 80 . 2 days ago I bought my 15m old DS some vitamins to up his C & D intake. I'll be posting ?s about that soon in the proper forum. Yesterday, after giving him his second dropper of it, I saw Polysorbate 80 on the ingredients list. (DS then proceeded to tip the bottle over on the counter and it all spilled. I wasn't too upset!) I just googled to find some info, but I'm still wondering what you all know about Polysorbate 80, that I should know. I read a little bit about it damaging reproduction organs in baby female rats. I'm going to have to quickly find some good vitamins for my kids to help keep us healthy this winter. Thanks for any info.

I used to get The Right C too. They no longer make it. I ordered the NOW powder. I don't think it has poly 80 in it - but now I am off to read it more thoroughly. I thought it just had the vitamin C and sodium in it.
