I attempted to do a search with those words, only to come up empty handed. Apparently, the server does not like those words being searched for lol

Anyway. I'm sure this topic has been covered ad nauseum. Anyone have good snack food recipes to share?

TIA

We eat a lot of homemade hummus (with veggies, crackers etc) it's pretty easy to whip up and really delicious.
I do a lot of baking so we generally have some kind of banana bread or healthy muffin on hand too.

My 2 year old loves to make trail mix. She sits at the table with a big bowl and wooden spoon and dumps hand fulls of ingredients into the bowl and stirs. We transfer into a bunch of snack size zip-locks and stick into the pantry for a quick easy grab snack. My kids also love fresh fruit and veggies. I try to have on hand, apples, oranges and bananas at all times in the fruit basket, which they can reach. As well as carrots and broccoli in the veg bin in the fridge.

My niece (4 at the time) used to love these little snacks I made for her. I took whole grain or multi grain crackers and spread with natural PB, and sprinkled wheat germ, flax seeds and raisins on top. Serve with milk and presto. High energy snacks. Not good for super young ones, obviously, but tasty and high calorie for picky eaters like her.
