Anyone know of an available live-in caregiver? (Edmonds/Seattle, WA)

I am helping a friend try to find a live-in caregiver for their 2 children (one w/autism). They've had au-pairs, but most haven't stayed long and they seem to be constantly looking for a new person (which is stressful for them, but even more so for the kids).

They are looking for:

A friendly live in caregiver who enjoys children (experience preferred) to take care of their 4 year old twin boys. One of the boys does have autism, but is making progress and is not exceptionally challenging to care for. Ideally they would like a person to be with them at least until Fall 2011 (when they will start Kindergarten).


Does anyone know of a friend or relative that might be a good match?

Does anyone have any ideas of where or how they might find a match?

I am about 15 minutes from Edmonds. I am not available to do live in as I just signed a lease (wish I'd met them about a month ago!) but could help them out, either in the interim as they find someone permanent, or on a regular basis if they are willing to consider a live out caregiver.

I have extensive nanny experience and some experience with children with disabilities, if that helps. I understand if they are looking for live in then they probably aren't interested, but PM me if you'd like my information.

care.com is an excellent resource but it costs money. I think the small fee is worth it for the quality of people you can find on there.
