Do you have trouble sleeping without your DC?

So my son is now 3.5 and he moves back and forth from my bed to his. Right now he's going through a mostly my bed phase.

Well I find that on nights he sleeps in his bed I am just on edge. It is like I know he's going to wake up and want me so I have a really hard time relaxing and falling into a deep sleep. I'm "on call" listening for him. And sure enough, once he comes in with me I fall asleep without a problem.

Anyone else?

Yup. If DD isn't in bed with me it takes me hours to fall asleep b/c I'm listening for her to wake up. By the time I finally fall asleep she's woken up crying and I take her in with me. We gave up trying to get her to sleep in her own bed or even on our floor b/c I just can't sleep without her unless I know DH has her.

I know i'm going to have to move our son to his crib soon so that everyone can get better sleep. But i feel so much anxiety about it because when he wakes he's going to have to fuss until he makes enough noise to wake one of us. I can't imagine that i'll be able to sleep well knowing this.
