tired of being on the phone

So, I've pretty much spent my entire afternoon trying to figure out what the heck is going on with my Medicaid, b/c I am due for another checkup.....after being told to call this number and that number, I finally got some answers. Hopefully it will all be fixed by Tuesday, which I have a renewal interview for my food benefits. Basically it has boiled down to, Fort Worth is still on the old system and I have yet to be converted to the new system here in Austin. UGH!!! Of course I didn't find this out until I FINALLY got told to call the regional office for Austin. I've now have a headache and am tired of being on the phone

I hate having to deal with medicaid. SO MUCH.
I literally can't even get a hold of medicaid in my area. If I call and go through the prompts they just tell me that there's nobody available to take my call, and then hang up on me. What happened to being put on hold? Geez. The only way I can get a question answered is by emailing and then waiting a few days for an answer (thank goodness they at least have that option!) or going in to talk to someone in person.

And that's just the beginning of the medicaid headache. It's ALWAYS something. It's so underfunded, it's sad.

Thankfully, since I live in the captiol of Texas, it seems to have made it easier to actually get some answers. But I still had to make all these phone calls BEFORE I could get some answers. Thankfully the gentleman that I talked to at the regional office here in Austin told me that if on Tuesday, I have any problems with my appointment, to just call their office back and they would fix it for me. THANK GOD!!! So much easier than if I was back in Fort Worth. They would've just told me too bad and make me wait. Plus, I was grateful that I didn't get treated like some stupid, drugged out with 7 kids mother. I hate it when I get treated like I'm stupid, but b/c I have to go through government assistance. HELLO...WE'RE IN A RECESSION!!!
