feeling shaky lack of sugar

Not sure why but when I am really craving something sweet I can get really shaky feeling. I have tried eating and it doesn't seem to help at least not quickly. If I eat candy the feeling goes within 15-20 minutes.
Why does this happen?

Sugar rush. You're crashing and the sugar reverses it. Are you hypo-glycemic?

Try eating something naturally sweet (like an apple) with protein (a piece of cheese, some PB). Eating something sweet will just repeat the cycle, but paired with the protein, the sweet will give you the fast burn, but the protein will give you the longer sustained energy.

I had similar problems a couple years ago, for me, the best solution was to plan snacks for myself and eat something before I really noticed being hungry. Snacks that were both fatty and had some protein as well as carb worked well. Stress was part of it for me, so trying to reduce stress, and anticipate that stressful situations (either situations or physical exertion) would require a snack, helped avoid the shakiness.

I would get that, shaky, foggy, ect... once I started a low carb/high protein diet it has all gone away.

Same here. It took a few days for my body to adjust but the difference in how I feel is well worth it!

yup, when I crashed, I used to literally feel weak, like lifting my arms was challenging. Lately, although I still crash, it happens less often. I try to eat more protein and more fat, which sustains me longer. (crashing usually only happens after forgetting breakfast, and lunch these days, not 2 hours after eating).

cut out the sugar, and eat a banana (it will stop the shakiness just as easily, and let you think enough to get some fat and protein which will hold you longer).

First thought was when was the last time you got a full blood panel?
sol, what would you be looking for in the blood panel?

Organ function, thyroid level, anemia, especially for diabetes, basic stuff. That was just the first thing that came to mind after reading the post.

happens to me too, did today actually! I hadn't eaten by a certain time of the day which I usually have eaten quite a bit of sugar by then, and it was like my body was craving it and I felt very shaky in my arms and hands. After I ate something sugary it went away. Doesn't that mean by body needed the sugar?
