Concerned about contents of 2 yr old's nappy - perhaps TMI.

My daughter has just turned two and for the last week or so the contents of her nappy have me a bit concerned. It’s not diarrhea as such, but when she poops it is a dark brown/green color, and almost sandy or silty in consistency. Or it looks as though her oatmeal has passed right through her (we eat oatmeal for breakfast every day.) She drinks a lot of water so I don’t think she is dehydrated, but I am concerned about this. Could it be anything to do with her molars coming through?

If it looks like coffee grounds you should definitely call the doc...otherwise, not sure, maybe check with your dr. anyway?

We eat oatmeal (steel cut with a bit of flax) most days for breakfast. My toddler has pretty similar poop and I am actually pretty grateful. He also eats a lot of veg and whole grains etc.Whole grains are good for the digestive track and he poops pretty easily ever morning right on "schedule." When his diet is off track then he gets uncomfortable with pooping but I am forever grateful we've never had constipation issues.
