How early to feel fundus?

I heard usually you feel your uterus around 12 weeks. What about after having had a few babies do you feel it sooner?

This would be my 3rd... how soon do you feel it?

The uterus usually rises up out of the pelvis around 12 weeks. Sure, you might feel it a bit early after multiple pregnancies, but not considerably so.

It also depends on how long it's been between your pregnancies. I had three kids in four years, and with my third, by uterus JUMPED out as soon as I was pregnant, and my fundus was nearly to my belly button by 12 weeks. If your uterus has had longer to settle down into your pelvis, it will probably take longer to show, but it is completely possible to show very early (and very large) with your third, and have just one healthy baby in there.

I beg to differ... maybe for most women but I know for myself my uterus always rises out of my pelvis between 8 and 10 weeks. This pregnancy I popped out way earlier than that but I had a miscarriage 6 weeks before I conceived this one so that might have something to do with it. I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow and I'm at the midway mark, between my pelvic bone and my belly button. Some mornings when I wake up and haven't peed yet it's up to my belly button. Every woman is different and we should learn not to pay so much attention to arbitrary dates.

this is my 3rd baby.. my midwife (and i ) was able to feel my uterus/fundus at about 7 weeks .. it was about 2 inches above my belly button at 16 weeks (but measuring normally - 17cm) my baby was/is also considerably higher in my belly on doppler/u/s than she should be for how far along i am..

i'd say it was the 3rd(or 2nd or more) baby thing, but i know my 2nd was like this and my 1st was so high so early that they couldn't find the HB on doppler at 12 weeks because they were no where near looking in the right spot (they were looking around my pubic bone.. and eventually found the HB when i came back a few days later, an inch or so under my belly button)

I was around 8 weeks when mine rose... and my last pregnancy ended 4 1/2 years before this one began.

With both my second pregnancy and this one my fundus reached my belly button around 10 weeks. I have been able to find it since around 7 weeks. My pregnancies were separated by 2.5 years and 3.5 years. At 12 weeks with my second I was measuring 16 weeks with only one baby. I think there is a broad range of normal!

I was able to feel it by 10 weeks, more than half way to my belly button by 14 weeks, at my belly button by 17 weeks or so. I'm 19 weeks now and it's still at my belly button. My midwife said after other pregnancies, it's not uncommon to have the fundal height grow rapidly then plateau around the belly button (the usual 20 week measurement) for a while. I seem to be doing that. It's been 6 years since my first pregnancy, 3 years since my second.
