Dishwasher Recommendations

Anyone have a dishwasher that they love? We are thinking about replacing our dishwasher with something more energy efficient. Our current dishwasher doesn't get the dishes very clean unless you rinse and scrub any stuck on food, which takes time, hot water etc. I'd love to be able to scrape the majority of the food off into the disposal and then skip the scrubbing and rinsing. Is that even possible?

No specific recommendations but we have noticed a huge difference in noise level with our new machine. We have one with a full front panel instead of a split panel & apparently this makes a big difference in noise. Depending on your set up this may not bother you either way.

We have a $199 Frigidaire that came with our house and it works suprisingly well. I don't rinse anything and put them in and rarely have to rewash a single dish. When it dies I'm buying the same one again lol.

I has a couple delay cycles, light wash, normal wash and pots and pans. It is energy star rated and I only ever use the normal wash. You do have to use a rinse agent and I can only use name brand detergent (finish) but I don't know if this is due to my very hard water or it being a cheap dishwasher.

It may be louder than some but it doesn't bother me. Also it is older not sure how old but more than 4yrs that I know of so the newer ones may be quieter.
