AAM... I've been crunching numbers for the past week or so, I guess doing taxes sorta puts me in the mood. Anyway, I am pretty much set for the next two years, income-wise. Between school and my job... I think I can even afford to lose my job and still get by fine.

So, I'm starting to think again about TTCing on my own. I had done so in the past, but stopped when I lost my previous income.

My barrier right now is the Professor. I know I've only gone on two dates with the guy, but I don't want to screw up a potentially good thing, as I do like what I know about him so far. So, my decision (for today), is to see where it goes with the Professor.

But, if this guy doesn't work out, I'm back on the hunt for donors!!! I'm turning 41 this summer and my biological clock is about to bust a spring!

Okay, just wanted to share this with some people who might understand.

Everybody think Fertile Thoughts! (And, cupid thoughts for me)

OMG Stevi, thats very exciting!! In my opinion it wont take you very long to work out if the professor is 'the one' and if he is, im sure you can get on the baby making train, and if not you have a fantastic plan anyway!!

Hi mamas, sorry I've been MIA latey. DH and I were in TX for a few days last week and I've been putting more effort into staying laid-back this cycle. We'll see how that goes after I O

Stevi-- FX for you and the "Professor". I really like that nick-name BTW... very sexy!

Finn-- I hope you O today! Make sure you have your bases covered

Karma-- when are you testing??

And for everyone who implanted last night I'm jealous

AFM-- Today is CD12 for me. I think I might O on CD 14 or 15! Woohoo! I o'd about a week late last cycle. Lately I've been taking great care of myself and had a bit of EWCM today. Exciting to see my hard work is paying off As far as charting goes, it's been difficult! DS woke up EIGHT times last night. I didn't even bother to temp. No stretches over two hours for me. Oh well. I didn't temp while I was in TX either. Slept in till 10! But I think I'll still have enough temps to see what's going on. Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight! We are headed to the beach for a few days tomorrow. Hope DH doesn't think I'm crazy for bringing OPKs with me!

I haven't tested his semen, but, I think this one is fertile, as he has indicated that safe sex is important for right now, in his words "until it isn't".

I am trying not to get too attached, as he seems too right for me, ya know? My luck just isn't that good, especially with men.

Mumma cop kaz & AdalynsMama... Thank you!

AFM 10dpo and I finally had a temp other than 98.2 or 98.4 - it was 98.6, which is within my normal range, but at least it's up, right? I've already decided I'm pg this month , so I'm actually not feeling a huge urge to test (not sure how long that will last!)
Haha, see the bottom of this post

I hope your instincts are right on this one! And you may be someone with just very stable temps, so you might not see a huge shift... just a minor one. Some women are like that.

Do we all hang around these forums so much that we transcend space and time and still manage to get our cycles synced up? I think that's a clear sign of an internet addiction...

I hope and think maybe implantation!! How cool would that be if we all get preggo together and had implantation at the same time!!!! LOL!
It would be cool to see who implanted on the same day and then how close or far apart their babies' birth dates were

I'm picturing you in a lab coat and goggles with a suspicious-looking substance in a vial, swirling it around a little and going "Hmmmm" with your hand on your chin...

AFM: Results are infuriatingly inconclusive! So far I have the longest LP I've ever recorded for a confirmed ovulatory cycle (11 days), nearly a week of cramping off and on with no AF or even spotting (and it's weird cramping-- it almost depends on what position I'm sitting in, and it's not always in the lower left or center where it tends to be, and it comes and goes in very brief bursts). I feel kinda weird and bloated and woke up really early two days in a row (between 4 and 5am) and had a hard time falling back asleep. This morning when I woke up I was STARVING. I peed a million times today, but I'm not sure if that was because I needed to pee or I was just obsessively checking for AF. Probably a little of both (and peeing is an excuse to get out of the toddler-filled classroom and have peace and quiet for 30 seconds, haha). Right now my lower back is a tad sore, but that's not unusual for me, especially with how I'm sitting on the couch. I'm afraid to say I "feel pregnant" because I'm too afraid I'll end up not pregnant and never be able to trust my instincts (not to mention I'll feel like an idiot for tricking myself yet again).

What I don't have are the nausea I had last time I convinced myself I was pregnant and the breast tenderness everyone always seems to have. I have really huge, pretty desensitized boobs, though, and they rarely get sore during my cycle.

I have taken SO MANY TESTS that have been evaps!!! They're such pale, faint lines that there's no way I can tell if they have color, but they've all been tests where I could see both lines before peeing anyways so I assume they've been evaps. I really won't believe anything until I see a clear, light pink line without having to adjust the lighting or hold it up to a window or something.

I'm only 11 DPO, but man. If AF shows up I will be devastated. I totally set myself up on this one.

Thanls for the advice Karma I'll be buying some cranberry juice, I'm not in pain or anything just a little discomfort when peeing. but I think is mostly gone I've been drinkign like 10 glasses of water a day. I definetely don't want to fool around with any kind of infection in my body. I just think we might have over done it with the sex.

Are people frequently brushing up against your boobs?
miriam- hugs to you. You sound like I feel. We can tend to be hard on ourselves for analyzing symptoms and ending up not pg. I know, I've been there. I totally set myself up last month and had a very believable evap and then got super convincing pg symptoms like peeing every hour, starving queasy emptiness in the belly, a very full feeling in the uterus and really strong 'implantation' like cramps and sharp twingy pains to boot. I was so crushed after that to get only bfns and AF arrive. BTDT. Let's hope for a calmer, successful round for both of us this month!

stevi- i hope it works out for you with your new guy and ttc!

Keria- yeah they used to call cystitis 'the honeymooners disease' for that very reason

AM I need advice! My last two temps are out of whack. I don't know which to use anymore. Night before last I was awake for hours with bad insomnia, though I temped at the usual time. Had a rise like my usual first post o temp so I thought that it was. But the insomnia makes me suspicious.

Last night slept like a baby (not) I mean I slept well for once. However I was on top of the covers most of the night which i never do. Plus the fan was going in the room which we never have on at night. I woke at 33Oam, got under the covers went back to sleep, woke at 5am and temped and it was 97.2. That would mean no O yet from the day before, if it's accurate. Went back to sleep and woke at 645 and temped. It was 97.8. Like yesterday this temp could be a usual first post O temp for me.

My usual temp time is 600-615am

I usually don't get such big temp discrepancies with my glass BBT. The two temps were 6/10ths -big difference, as it could indicate O or no O. And they were taken less than 2 hours apart, but I slept well between them. I am speculating all kinds of stuff to do with the fan and no covers until the second temp... but I don't know if that's why the first temp was low? Since I went back to sleep between the two temps, I recorded the higher one at first. That is the rule of thumb by FF which I follow. As in, if I temp twice but can't get back to sleep, I record the first one. So the reverse should follow right? (I almost never temp twice for this reason. And if I do they are usually virtually the same, even hours apart). This time, all this confusion right around O time - of course!

I should add that I never, hardly ever get 3 hours sleep before temping, as DS wakes frequently still to nurse. However, I have been able to get accurate pre and post O temps and a clear shift the last 3 months.

Who out there thinks I should use the first one? The second one?

Do you think yesterday's temp was too disturbed to count, because of sleep deprivation? That was my feeling, so far I marked it disturbed.

I neglected to mention that the reason I changed it to the lower temp on my chart for today, despite FF rule of thumb, is cause I have had all kinds of O symptoms today like HSO CX and lots of CF still.

Thoughts??

Thanks guys!

tara- i think it was the high temp that was the fluke. do not think you o'd on cd20, because on cd22, you still have ew and still are hso. that's not likely.

well, i looked back at your charts, now im more confused. you've got pretty wild temps and a of ewcm all over the place. you are sure you arent confusing 'his contribution?' your signs are all a little hard to read, dont seem to line up, i guess that's why you've got dotted crosshairs. then when you were using opks, they were positive numerous times, too. any idea what is going on? remind me, are you breastfeeding?
Miriam - I'm stalking your chart and hoping to see a BFP soon. I actually don't feel any instincts about being pregnant - I just decided that this month I'm going to enjoy my TWW and just assume I am pregnant until I find out otherwise! I don't have any symptoms that point me in the direction of a BFP, but I didn't feel pregnant with the first two (actually didn't have a lot of symptoms at all the first trimester!) Just because you don't feel pregnant doesn't mean you aren't!!

afmThis cycle I'm feeling much more positive and peaceful. More and more I feel like I will get pregnant...eventually. I just keep reminding myself that there is a big difference between 32 and 38 when it comes to fertility, but I still have a really good shot

I've been crampy all day - which normally I would attribute to pre-AF cramps but now I'm just assuming it's implantation
post #173 of 381
Tara, I temp at the same time every morning and don't worry if I woke up an hour before that. Sometimes its only 4 hours after I went to bed, because I work till 12:15 am 2-4 nights per week. I temp when my husbands alarm goes off then go back to sleep. My temps seem fine, not all over the place at all. But if I miss the time for some reason, the temp does seem off. So, I go by time only and don't worry about the circumstances much.

Please move me to Waiting to O. Hopefully I won't be here over 4 months like last time.

AHHH, that explains it. I'm a toddler teacher. A new favorite game is *child pokes boob with one finger* "What this, Duey?" I usually say "That's my body" but they're not satisfied, lol.
Julie- are you sure they are evaps??? Can you post a picture?

Sarabravo- yep, my three year old is constantly elbowing my boobies and my tummy of late, ouch!

Sweetest77- I know what you mean, I feel so at ease this cycle and at peace with what will be, will be. I cant do anything more than i have already done this cycle so i will leave it up to God and fate.
Our neighbor must have had her baby because I can hear the distinctive new born baby cry, its the most beautiful sound in the world!!

TMI ALERT-Im 2dpo and when i went to the bathroom i found a glob of ewcm, on my underwear, not stringy but white, fairly hard and round?? Is it common to have cm after O?
I have the SWEETEST husband EVER! He came home with a gift bag full of my FAV chocolates and the New Moon book(it's the only one I haven't read yet)..."just because"...aw! So sweet! I LOVE YOU HONEY!

So I feel, um...weird. I'm exhausted and sluggish. My labia feel swollen, and I'm just 'there'..KWIM? I'm feeling 'something' going on down in my lower abdomen..just not sure what. It could be a little eggie and spermie or it could be my ovaries getting ready...I dunno. I told DH that I wasn't feeling 'normal' and that I may be having symptoms...but I felt stupid for thnkng that and voicing my 'feelings'...and the man said "Honey, I think it's normal to have these feelings...you are really wanting to be pg. It's ok to have these feelings. Just go with it." AH! I again...LOVE him!
