Help me make a decision re: diaper colors

what is your opinion? this is my first babe, and 20 wk u/s says girl. i want the get the Happy Heiny's in the pink starter pack...but should I be thinking ahead to babe #2 and get the blues/greens instead? Do these diapers even make it to baby #2? I love the pinks and purples but my practical brain is fighting me and i can't make a decision!

I'd go with the pink, and down the road if you have a boy and want blue maybe you can trade someone. Or just use pink on a boy, I've done that! noone sees under the clothes.

I agree with the PP, just get what you want now, it was never a big deal to use a pink diaper on my DS esp at night when no one would see it.

I'd get the pink. I actually bought one pink diaper for my son, with the hope I'd get to use it on a girl someday!

i agree- go ahead and get some pink diapers. you can always sell them to new ones if need be. i got about 1/3 of our diapers this round in girly colors, and the rest boyish/ gender neutral colors. our hh one size are holding up very well so far- much better than our bg (which i love as well). we have only had them six months though so no telling if they'll make it to #2.

Thanks everyone! I'm going to get the girly ones and love them! I'm so excited to be learning about cloth diapering that part of me can't wait for the baby to come just to try them all on.

I was careful to get mostly gender neutral things for my first daughter, in an attempt to be frugal and make sure things would be usable for my future children. Then I had two more girls. I regret not getting girly things to start with!

It's only a couple of diapers. Buy the ones you like for you baby.
