I have plans for a DIY safety vest to wear while biking and running. Bought a cheap yellow t-shirt, cut to vesty shape- now I need to apply the iron-on reflective tape. I'm having a heck of a time separating the 'opaque protective back layer'. What wants to come off- and shouldn't yet- is the clear front layer. Anyone have experience with this? I'm really hoping my thrifty plan will work out - don't want to drop $20-$40 for a vest!
