what environmental allergen is DS reacting to?

Hi All -
Wondering if anyone has any ideas about what my son might be reacting to. He is 3 and has many food allergies as well as sensitivities. He also tested positive (Skin Prick) to certain trees, grasses and outdoor mold. He tested negative to cat, dog, pollen and indoor mold. But several times now when he has been inside of older buildings, he begins to cough, cry, says he's sick and this usually leads to wheezing. This has happened in older homes, airports, hotels, stores, etc. - it doesn't happen in all older structures but the reaction is consistent (every time we go to my parents, my in-laws home, a specific starbucks store, the building he has his weekly parent/child class..). Also, FWIW whatever the allergen is, it possibly exists in varying degrees/amounts. E.g. if he goes into a specific store, he will react within about 5 minutes but every time we attend his parent/child class, it takes him about 1.5 hours to show the first signs.

Just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone or what I should have him tested for the next time I take him to see his allergist...
Thanks much all!

How is he on dust?
Maybe some sort of recirculated air thing?

Thanks kjbrown92 - I just found his allergy record and he tested negative to two types of mites (assuming this was dust but ??). Maybe his allergist will have some ideas on what to test for next...and maybe it doesn't matter as it may not be something that would be observable enough for us to avoid. I just thought I would check here to see if anyone else had a similar experience.

Thanks

My eyes burn & itch, and I get a headache when I go to malls and airports, and things like that. I always assume it's something to do with the recycled (and not fresh) air inside it. But I don't wheeze, etc, so I never looked further into it. That sounds so hard.
