Best Older/Classic Movies for kids?

I tried doing a search, because I could have sworn this topic has come up before, but I couldn't find the threads.

My DD is 7 and really enjoys watching the older movies. A couple recent favorites are Singing in the Rain and Meet Me In St. Louis. I was wondering if there were other recommendations for great movies that are sweet and wholesome?

TIA!

I'm drawing a blank here but you might want to post this in books/movies as well.

a little different than singing in the rain, but they're still sweet & wholesome, so here are my recommendations: sound of music, heidi, pollyanna, fiddler on the roof, chitty chitty bang bang, oliver, wizard of oz, shirley temple movies, etc. i'm sure there are a ton more - but these are ones that come to mind easily & my 8 year old has enjoyed them a lot. for newer movies, she really loves annie, pippi longstocking, etc. hope this helps.

Maybe you were thinking of one of these discussions?

One of our favorites when we were little was The Court Jester with Danny Kaye, we watched it over and over and it just had us in stitches.

There is also Hans Christian Andersen and White Christmas with him.

Holiday might also be something she would like.

National Velvet might be good
