Shadow care question

I'm not pregnant yet, but SO and I are TTC, and are making some decisions early this time. This will be my fourth pregnancy, and first homebirth. With my last baby, I started out seeing my OB, as well as the HB MW. Seems like it should have been an easy decision, but some events happened during my pregnancy that scared me into staying with my OB(I have had a stillbirth, and during an office visit, his HR dropped, and then they decided I had low fluid levels, and I was terrified of another stillbirth). My MW and I also didn't mesh well, and she had a lot of personal stuff going on and just wasn't as supportive as I needed her to be. So anyhow......this time around we are interviewing other MWs, and SO is really on board with the HB(he wants to deliver the baby!). My issue comes here-I'm a nurse, and work on a daily basis with my OB. It's going to be impossible for him to not notice I'm pregnant, but I have NO desire to see him for another pregnancy. He induces all of his patients at 39 weeks, and we don't see eye to eye at all. He's a wonderful surgeon, and truly cares about his patients(from a gyne standpoint) but we butt heads too much. The only concern I have is that I go into labor at work, and end up not being able to make it home in time to deliver( i have three to four hour labors). Would you see the OB, just in case? I was thinking about asking the MW for copies of everything(labs, stuff like that)so I'd have it just in case. SO and I aren't sure where to go on this one, and once we have settled on a MW I'm sure we'll get more answers, but I am leaning toward no. Any suggestions?

I'm not sure I could even see my OB if he was also my boss / coworker. That would creep me out, yk. Also, it crosses the line of professionalism. I'd just say 'I have a care provider' if he asks. Technically, he should only ask as a coworker. Sorry, can't say anything about getting home in time, but you could always carry your records w/ you if your concerned.
