ruptured ear drum

My daughter is two and a half, and as far as I know has never had an ear infection before now. Wednesday and thursday she was acting generally fussy, but she's getting molars so I assumed that's all it was. Friday she had drainage out of her right ear, which upon reflection she did once on thursday grab.

She had drainage again today (sunday). She has been acting and eating normally. She played normally today, and has been almost all week, with the exception of the fussiness mentioned above.

Do I take her to the doctor for something that seems to be resolving on it's own? If not, what should I do? Are there things to avoid-- can she bathe/shower/swim?

Thanks!
