homeopathy for breastfeeding mom?

My SIL suffers from the most horrendous allergies for about one month starting at this time of year. She has a very runny nose, and itchy, watery eyes and mouth. She is miserable. She thinks it's related to when the birch trees bloom. She doesn't want to take anything because she's BFing. I thought homeopathy might be a safe thing she could try, but everything I've read on the internet says "do not use without consulting a health professional". There's no naturopath where she lives, and her doctor wouldn't have the first clue about homeopathy. Does anyone have any experience with taking homeopathy for seasonal allergies while breastfeeding?

I hope I'm posting this in the right place. I'm not putting it under "allergies", because this is more about seasonal allergies than substance allergies. Sorry if I posted wrong.

I have used homeopathic remedies throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding with no (known) ill-effects on my children. There are some that bf'ing moms should take caution with and the potency (6x, 12c, 30c, etc.) is important to get right to ensure the dose is not too "strong." Homeopathic remedies are a great alternative to traditional meds. My DH and I both used homeopathy to treat seasonal allergies within the last month (and I am bf'ing DS, 14 mos). Many homeopaths consult successfully over the telephone; I wonder if your SIL could locate a good homeopath and request a phone consult prior to taking anything?

My only issue we've had with homeopathy during breastfeeding is that DS is (was?) sensitive to dairy, and I think he reacted to the lactose in the tablets I took. However, if your SIL is doing Bioallers, those are in a liquid, so no lactose.
