Babywearing and CP

My foster son has mild cerebral palsy and is a generally needy guy. He has more problems with spasticity in his legs and hips, tremors in his arms and some reduced strength in his trunk. Because of this at times he feels like a 19lb dead weight.

We have tried an Ultimate baby wrap, Bjorn, several sling rings. His PT advised us to avoid the wraps and Bjorn because its causing more spasticity in his hips.

Any ideas on carrying my heavy special needs guy?

There are forums over at the babywearer.com that will have some ideas... Its under "Choosing & Comparing Types of Carriers" and then click "Disabilities, Chronic Illness, Special Needs and Babywearing" I bet you will get tons of ideas and support over there. Hope that helps ya and good luck.
