Family constellations therapy, anyone?

I took part in a family constellations seminar this weekend, and did my work on the second day (yesterday).

I didn't know what to expect or to think in advance, and I am still not quite sure. I do know that family constellations has totally transformed a friend of mine. She was finally able to let go of the "baggage" she had been carrying around for many years, and also make peace with her mother. I am hoping the same will happen for me. The weird thing is, I still have no clue what actually went on in the work and people have been telling me not to analyze it at all. I do feel a new inner peace, despite also thinking that the therapy makes no logical sense whatsoever. It cost a fair amount of money too.

Are there any other MDC-ers who have done this, heard of it, or have opinions about it? What are your experiences?

If you haven't heard about family constellations, I can tell you NOTHING about it - it is THAT vague. Google it, and you will find out nothing more .

Hi!

I have been wanting to do it for a long time now. I know a therapist and several people who had done it. The experience varies a lot depending on the facilitator, I understand. And it can be quite powerful. You can acces a lot of information that was unknown until then. A friend of mine, trough a combination of family constellations and ayahuasca sessions, was able to understand many many things, all the shadow aspect of her ancestros that what manifestating in herself trough a very serious disease. Now she is healthy again. She could bring light to that part of her story, and she didn´t need the disease anymore.
Here where I am is not that expensive. theres the Bert Hellinger Center, they provide trainning too.
I am a big believer in the sistemic branch of psychology. Nothing exists in a vacuum, so understanding our constellation/ history is sooo important to be able to be free from it, and walk our own path.
Oh, man, I will have to shedule a session now!!

Hi!

I agree that nothing exists in a vacuum, what I am not so sure about is how the family constellations therapist and the people taking part in the work know what they are supposed to do, and how that so-called "energy field" can exist. Frankly, I was rather skeptical going into it.

BUT... I feel great now. I think the therapy worked - I resolved the issue I went into resolve. It seems to be working.

Let me know how it goes if you book into a session .
