Ds is two weeks old; he came out with sucking blisters in his mouth (two largish ones--about the size of his pinkie nail-- on his upper gums, where molars will be, and three little tiny ones on the upper part of the back of his throat). He has developed one on his upper lip, too.
The midwives say this is no big deal; I'm just wondering if/when they will go away and if they bother him.
He pulls away shrieking sometimes while nursing, and I have been attributing this to let-down; however, i'm wondering if the sucking is sometimes painful for him.
