Bat house

Does anyone have a bat house? I am considering getting one for my backyard. My primary motivation is to help cut down on mosquitoes.

If you have one, have you noticed a decrease in insects? Do you have any tips or favorite resources?

we see lots of bats around dusk, so I assume they are munching away on bugs, but we don't really notice that there are less bugs over all. There are certain parts of the yard that always are better and worse.

The one and only reason I don't have one yet (I've fantasized for 7 years about them) is...the bats!! We eat outside frequently at dusk and I don't relish being dive bombed by them. I know they won't hurt us but...however, they're an awesome idea.

Yes, we have a bat house...it's called our attic crawl space. And, despite how friendly they are to the environment, I want them to leave. We will be working on that plan this spring.
